Wow.....

It has been a really long time since I blogged and a lot has happened since then:

1) Daniel and I closed on and moved into our first house! It has been so fun but we are still in the process of rennovating our kitchen. (For those of you that know me, my obsessive compulsive tendencies don't mesh well with a continuous mess but it will be well worth it.)

2) Daniel and I took a trip up north with my parents to see my Uncle and Aunt. It was so much fun! We went to Port Huron, Michigan, Niagara Falls and ended the week with a couple of nights in Chicago. It was great and we absolutely loved Chicago, can't wait to go back.

(the new house!)

3) Daniel is really enjoying his job and I am back at school. It has been a busy start to the school year but I will get into a routine soon.

When we get the kitchen finished, I will post pictures.

Oh, and I better not forget, we participated in our first adventure run with our friends Bryce, Amanda, Paul and Sarah this past weekend. We "ran the jailbreak" mud, water, barbed wire, tires and all. It was so much fun and just an awesome weekend seeing great friends! I will post pictures as soon as I get them from Amanda.

THE NEXT CHAPTER.....

Wooohoooo! Daniel has graduated from both LCU and Texas Tech. The past 2 weeks have been extremely busy, but very exciting and we got to share the celebration with family.

We both feel extremely blessed. Daniel began full time employment as an Electrical and Automation Specialist at Hurricane Test Laboratory.....I intended to make this a "reflective" blog, some of my friends do and I really enjoy reading them. But, it took me so long to figure out how to make that slide show, it is too late for me to be feeling very reflective. Maybe tomorrow I will come back and reflect on this next chapter of our lives as I originally intended....haha. I do know, though, at this stage in our lives I feel more content, fulfilled and happy than I ever imagined. I am married to a kind, thoughtful, funny, strong and intelligent man. I am so thankful for him and his accomplishments. I believe God is good and he does bless us richly! (Maybe I wasn't too tired to reflect..lol).

Daniel is home!

Daniel has been home from China and life seems to be back to some sort of normal for us. He has been home for almost 2 weeks now but we have been so busy "soaking up" the time we missed, I haven't had a chance to write. He has many great stories and certainly will remember this trip forever. We are both are so glad he was blessed with such an incredible opportunity. And, I am so thankful he is back and safe. I think all my familly would agree with this: I am not the same without Daniel around. I am ecstatic to have him back home!!

52 hours later....Daniel is in China!

Daniel left at 5:00 a.m. on Saturday morning and finally made it to China at 9:00 a.m. this morning. He had a flight cancelled, several delays and many hours of layover. The picture above is in front of a temple in Taipei, Taiwan. Daniel had an 11 hour layover there so he got to take a tour of the city. He is doing great and should be rested and ready for work in the next few hours!

A Christmas to Remember.....

Well, Daniel and I almost spent our first Christmas away from each other (unintentionally). I left to go to my parent's house in Bowie the day before Christmas Eve and the plan was for Daniel to fly in to Dallas on Christmas Eve since he had to work. A blizzard, cancelled flight and 12 hours of Daniel driving 10 miles an hour all the way to Bowie; Daniel arrived in Bowie at 5:00 a.m. on Christmas morning! According to Daniel, "love will make you do crazy things." It was quite romantic but it is safe to say, we will never travel seperate at the holidays again.

Once all the chaos settled we had a wonderful time! We got to spend time with my mom's and dad's extended family, it was so much fun. (I will post pictures as soon as I can bum some off of family members. It seems I have lost my digital camera.)
